Purpose of this site
VisLab is an in-browser audio visualization tool. Most processing happens locally in your browser.
Hosting and server logs
When you visit this site, the hosting provider may process technical access data (for example IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser information) to deliver and secure the website.
Cookies and local storage
VisLab does not use marketing or tracking cookies. The app stores technical and preference data in
localStorage so your setup persists between sessions.
Currently used keys include:
vislab-theme, vislab-tooltips, vislab-outlines,
vislab-td-url, vislab-core-collapsed,
vislab-custom-settings-tiles, vislab-custom-p5-list.
You can clear these values at any time via your browser storage settings.
Third-party resources
JavaScript libraries used by VisLab (including p5.js, hls.js and
h264-mp4-encoder) are served locally from this project.
No third-party CDN is contacted by default when opening the app.
Camera and microphone
Camera and microphone are only used after you explicitly allow access. Audio/video input is processed in your browser for visualization and recording features.
Legal basis
Processing for providing the website and app functions is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Where technically necessary storage is used, Sec. 25(2) TDDDG applies.
Retention
Data stored in your browser remains until you delete it. Server-side technical logs are retained only as long as required by the hosting provider's operational or legal requirements.
Your rights
You have rights under Art. 15-21 GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
